Healing Arts and Creativity

Barbara MorganFamily Constellations with Barbara Morgan

I call my workshops ‘Coming Home'- Healing the Family Soul. The idea is that a lot of our current suffering is directly linked to the events of the past in our families and the actions of our ancestors. It helps to see that the family is a system that needs to be in balance in order to thrive - just like nature. And just as in nature, many things have happened which have upset the balance of our families and we and our children and grandchildren are feeling the effects.

In a group situation we can choose members of the group to represent members of our family and sometimes abstract concepts like: war, love, truth, a secret. We place these people in the middle of the group according to our intuition and then the representatives begin to experience sensations, an urge to move or deep emotions related to the person they are representing. Healing sentences provide a ritual for opening the heart and ‘coming home'.

Barbara Morgan is a Family Constellations Practitioner & Trainer also editor of the International Constellations Journal called: The Knowing Field.

Barbara has been running constellation workshops since 1997 and at various camps for the past few years. She works as a Gestalt Psychotherapist and Family Constellations practitioner with individuals, couples and groups and runs regular constellation workshops. She is also part of the Bristol training in Constellation work known as Constellations Work Trainings, offer  apprenticeships in constellation work and is currently training people in Romania to take the work forward. She believes the open-hearted space of Earthsong and other similar camps is an ideal space for dipping into our own soul and the soul of our family which can be a painful but ultimately healing experience.

Rachel ParryListening from the Heart

To simply accept, respect and connect with other humans in a space of honest, loving communication is a gift I will always nurture in my life. Just reminding each other how completely delightful and lovable we are, is so effortless and yet so powerful and healing.
Sharing this kind of listening time with others is such a regular part of my life now. It really lets the light in and makes it impossible for me to take things too seriously for long!

Rachel Parry works primarily as a professional artist but has also worked at various times as a teacher, community arts facilitator and meditation teacher.
She is a core group member of both the Tribal Spirit and Earthsong Communities. She is also a Re Evaluation Counseling teacher and an experienced leader of both parents support groups and women's groups.

ThomasCo-Parenting on Camp

This is a forum for everybody who has kids on the camp or with an interest in parenting. The underlying philosophy that Earthsong is like a tribe where the children are in a way everybody's children can be a challenging concept. This forum is an opportunity for a potentially large group of people to explore this topic and come up with practical agreements and suggestions.

Conflict Resolution and Mediation

In these workshops we are planning to use role play and practice the skills of how to challenge behaviour without falling out. We are also hoping to build up a team of people who would be interested and become able to mediate conflicts on camp in the future.

Thomas Riedmuller is a mediator, communication trainer and peace and conflict educator. His approach is rooted in non-violent communication and process oriented psychology. He is based at The Hollies Centre for Practical Sustainability in West Cork (www.theholliesonline.com) and has 10 years of experience teaching courses and workshops on mediation, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills (including FETAC).
