DANCE, DRUM AND MOVEMENT CAMP
Adult Workshops 2020
TRIBAL SPIRIT DRUMMINGJohn Bowker
Earthsong is famous for its large drumming sessions, up to 200 people gather for the evening drum in the Big Top. Using Djembes, Bougaraboos, Sabars, Dun Duns, bells, shakers and our voices we put together powerful polyrhythms from Africa. We chant and dance and create a truly wonderful tribal sound. Also weaving intention and magic into the rhythm the effect can be exhilarating and life affirming.
MOVEMENT MEDICINECharlene Sundstrom
This dance is about connection, to ourselves, to each other, to our Earth.
Its about having fun as well as allowing more painful parts to show up and be moved. We always move at our own pace, taking care of our body. There are no steps to learn, simply following what feels true to us at any given moment.
The Moon Lodge is a very gentle and safe space inviting women of all ages to rest, nourish, reflect and connect to themselves. It is an invitation to step out of any responsibilities we are holding in our every day life and to be fully be with ourselves in a beautiful, safe and held space. Every woman is very welcome, especially women who are in their moon time, pregnant, breastfeeding, after birth, pre- or menopausal or in need of rest and nourishment.
These classes will focus on the foundations of Hip-Hop and how they aid in helping you connect with music, with your own body and with other dancers in the space. There will be a focus on freestyle, learning choreography and creating your own choreography in harmony with the live music.

CIRCLE DANCETony Wrench and Faith
Circle Dancing draws from an ancient tradition. We dance simple dances from many folk cultures, including Greek, Romanian, Armenian, French and Russian. Some dances are energetic, some gentle. We teach each dance before dancing it. The chief aim is enjoyment, rather than technique, and the experience of moving together as a circle. The music will be live.
EXPERIENTAL ASTROLOGYRobert Green
In experiential Astrology we will endeavor to enter sacred space and use drama, meditation and games to explore the ancient art of Astrology, creating and experiencing Astrology in action, where we can receive insights, healings, direction and clarity. Robert has been passionate about Astrology for 28 years and has always felt that there is a need for people to experience Astrology in a very real way without all the dry intellectualism. The workshops are very much his own style.
